I was never sick but had red flags and my late mother was diagnosed with early-onset breast cancer in her early 30s. Fortunately, through excellent medical care and early screening, I had the option to take measures that will hopefully prevent me from getting the BRCA cancers. &lt;br&gt;Like you, I know many woman who decided to take the genetic test. Unfortunately, like your sister, several of them have the gene.
